When dealing with non-invasive treatments or any sort of alternative medicine, web designers need to be aware that the overall look and aesthetic needs to be on point. Patients are already skeptical and need to be convinced and sold on the treatments at hand.
Overview of the Design
The design we created for the Center for Disease Prevention and Reversal was both modern and informative. We helped streamline the process for incoming visitors by keeping the homepage short and sweet – only highlighting the key points of information.
We also kept the special effects to a minimum to allow patients to look and browse in peace. We made sure every section had a call-to-action to elicit a response from the viewer.
Use of Colors
For alternative medicine websites, we like to use colors that are not too dull or overbearing. We predominately stuck to lighter hues such as tan or grey to help keep information and text legible and easy to read. We also helped add a bit of variety by implementing a forest green in the mix. On top of this, the images used throughout the site follow the same color scheme and help add an additional layer of texture to the website.
The black background on white text not only looks professional but also makes the text appear more prominent. The first green is our primary colors for buttons and other design elements to help bring attention to them when visitors are browsing around.
Design and Marketing Elements
We wanted to keep our nature-like theme strong and dominate to establish a sense of branding and overall cohesiveness. We kept the special effects to a minimum to allow the text and images to do the convincing for us. Our drop-down navigation menu has all the site’s most important tabs listed clearly at the top of every web page. We also made sure that the practice’s contact number could be easily identified and reached by placing it on top of every inner-page. The footer also contains important quick-links as well as the practice’s additional social media platforms.
Image the Website Reflects
The Center for Disease Prevention and Reversal created a website that would help patients in need achieve their peak performance both mentally and physically at any age. The nature-based theme helps add a layer of compassion to accompany the informative text. Overall, a website that helps patients feel rejuvenated without all the overabundance of marketing or special effects.
