The last thing on the mind of visitors to this site is the perceived pain and discomfort of a visit to the dentist. Instead, they have visions of pleasant fall days and relaxation. The information is presented in a convenient and accessible way, and every element of the page provokes a warm and friendly reaction. An excellent site for an industry that many people experience some anxiety about.
Use Of Colors
Since we were dealing with a dental practice, we figured it would only be right to incorporate a royal blue hue when designing the color theme. The site is predominately featured with a mixture of blue and gold. This allows for optimal reading accessibility. Most of the information on the website was to inform. We kept that in mind when choosing the color theme. The mixture of blue and gold is easy on the reader’s eyes. This allows them to digest the information in front of them with ease. The last thing you want to do on any website is to steer your readers away by using a harsh color theme.
The inner pages are all predominately white and gold, giving a feeling of luxury and high-end class. The office itself is very rich in autumn tones; we made sure to match that feeling on the website.
Analysis Of Design Elements
The design of this site is very open and bright with a streamlined approach, at no point is there too much information presented, the overall feeling being one of efficiency and minimalism. Websites like this will appeal to professionals from every walk of life, encouraging them to bring their friends and family in for reliable and consistent treatment. Contact information, including a map showing the area around the location, are displayed in a very low-key format, nothing is up and in your face.
We also made sure that a feeling of patient comfort would not be lost on the inner pages of the website. We added naturalistic hero images to convey a sense of hope. Even the font and typography of the website points to elegance and class. This demonstrates a sense of respect for the visitor and indicates that the site is aimed at patients who know what they want and are looking for providers that understand that.
We made sure that the overall branding of the website matched the South Hill logo. Everything meshes together to create one cohesive website design. We also implemented a contact form on the bottom of every page to make sure that patients would not miss the chance to connect with the practice. There are also patient forms and a patient portal that can be accessed throughout the drop-down navigation menu as well as an added touch of convenience.
